Sustainability Policy
The immediate health of this planet is dependent on the actions we take right now. We recognise that as a company and as individuals, we must change our behaviours today to ensure a clean livable earth for generations to come. As part of our company's sustainability policy, our corporate head office has taken the lead by putting in place a "green" procurement and environmental practices policy with the following ecological behaviours:
-
All light bulbs replaced with low wattage compact fluorescent lights.
-
100% Recycled paper used in the office.
-
100% Recycled toilet paper used in bathrooms.
-
Phosphate free eco-friendly dishwashing powder used in kitchen.
-
All lights, computers, and heating turned off at night.
-
100% recycled garbage bags used.
-
All plastics and paper refuse deposited in recycle bins for pick up.
-
200 Native trees will be planted in Ballarat, Victoria in September 2007 to offset the company’s carbon emissions.
-
Only Organic or fair trade milk, coffee, and sugar will be available in the staff lunch room.
-
All employees educated through seminars as to energy saving tips in the office and home.
-
All employees offered 15 minutes extra pay for riding to work or car pooling each day.
On March 8th, 2006 - Our Melbourne Head Office made a contribution of $1000 Canadian dollars towards the JNF
"Green the deserts of Israel" campaign that will see hundreds of tress planted within the year.
